In the house there is a fine collection of traditional Chinese paintings by the renowned local painter Mao Zumin, who has a courtyard house just across the small lane in front of our own house in Jiuxian village.

The paintings in our house are not for sale but as Mao Zumin lives nearby it is easy enough to just drop in on him, to see him at work, and even to take some traditional painting/calligraphy lessons from him. If interested, you might be able to find a painting you really like, and purchase it from him at very reasonable prices.

Mao Zumin has learned his skills from famous teacher-painters as far away as Shanghai, and has won several national prices with his works. There are several books, including national art books, in which the works of Mao Zumin are published.
